I have always been an avid fan of music. Over time hard rock became my favorite genre. I still enjoy other musical flavors but rock is my passion. I never had any inclination that I could play an instrument until I followed a friend Duane Richards, to band practice and was shown guitar basics on a bass guitar. Naturally the next day I ran out and bought an acoustic and started following Alfred’s Basic guitar instruction. After about a month of practice I was showing Duane what I had learned. When I finished playing he exclaimed, “dude, if you can play that, you could play bass in my band!” Who’d have ever guessed, over 30 and officially in my first rock band… how cool!!

I jammed with Duane for a couple of years before hooking up with a band called Local Justice . I covered bass with them for the next 10 years.

In 1999 Local Justice was in need of a singer dude and having a hard time finding one. I was introduced to Ronnie Marler by his sister-in-law and arranged an audition but by now Local Justice was pretty much over. Shortly there after, Ronnie Marler, Jim Jonas, Paul Long and I started getting together for some jam sessions with a couple other mutual friends and Jack Crowne and Coronas became official. I switched over to guitar with the J.C.C. and was fairly shaky at first but now I’m having more fun than I ever thought possible. The current group has solidified both on the stage and just hangin’ out together. I’m still learning and still look forward anxiously to every next time we get together to jam.
